The national awards started in 2002 and return to the national capital for the first time in six years with Dinner event to be held in the Mural Hall in Parliament House.

Awards will be announced for Built Environment, Behaviour Change and Bike Culture and Leadership categories. In a surprise move, the independent judges have also determined a Special Achievement Award for Social Impact will also be announced at the Gala Dinner. The Awards have evolved and matured and reflect the incredible diversity of the bicycle community’s achievements from the smallest remote community to national programs in towns and cities.

Hosted by the MPs who lead the Parliamentary Friends of Cycling group, TV personality Osher Gunsberg will be MC for the evening. The event will also feature the launch of the second WeRide Australian Cycling Economy Report – a critical piece of evidence for the sector that will assess both the economic impact of riding and now e-scooters on the Australian Economy, the wider health, environmental and transport benefits and includes a deep dive into cycle tourism which was last valued at $1.168 billion to our economy. Join us for a night to remember!
