Event description
We invite you to join Clockshop on June 3, 2023 for The Edge of Summer, an afternoon of connection, conversation, food, and joy in our courtyard. Spend the afternoon with us in the sun and shade, introduce yourself to our new native plant garden, and become part of our community working to shift culture in LA towards a future based in belonging and care. The afternoon will include food by elysian, drinks and refreshments, as well as chill music by Muezette. You could win prizes like a Trailmade tent and sleeping bag from REI, or a kayak trip for 2 down the LA River! Guests can also bid on a private dinner for four at elysian or the opportunity to take home the 2023 Land is Kin Edo Kaku-Dako Kite by Misa Chhan and the 2022 Protect Public Lands Rokkaku Kite by Audrey Chan.
Join us for a fundraiser in Clockshop's courtyard in support of our work with artists to deepen the connection between communities and public land, in order to build a shared vision of a future based in belonging and care.
As a Los Angeles-based arts and culture nonprofit, Clockshop produces free public programming and commissions contemporary artist projects on public land to better connect Angelenos to the land we live on.
We bring this mission to our work at Los Angeles State Historic Park in Chinatown, and Rio de Los Angeles State Park (“The Bowtie”) in Glassell Park, in collaboration with California State Parks.
