There will be a strong focus on building natural capital, farm resilience and profitability.

The event aims to build capacity and knowledge for farmers to move forward confidently in a rapidly evolving global market, so that we can all create a better future together.

Kirsten Diprose, agriculture communicator, podcaster, farmer and former ABC journalist will MC the event with a fantastic line up of speakers across two days.

To conclude the day, join us for networking drinks and a delicious dinner in the historic Longroom building at Chatsworth House. This will be a great opportunity to connect with other farmers and industry leaders. We are very excited to have secured the wonderful Shanna Whan, as our special guest speaker for the evening. Shanna is the co-founder of Sober In the Country (SITC) and is the 2022 Australian of Year - Local Hero.

SITC is a grassroots not-for-profit organisation leading radical change and social impact across rural Australia by changing the narrative around booze in the bush through straight talk, powerful lived-experience advocacy, and the #OK2SAYNO movement. Far from being prohibitionist - the charity focuses on straight talk, peer support, social inclusion, and the #OK2SAYNO movement.

Day 2 - Thursday 5th October

On the morning of day two you will learn how to account for natural capital and opportunities that exist around this, including soil carbon & biodiversity markets, carbon accounting & emissions reporting. The session will finish up with an informative panel discussion on soil carbon projects, with perspectives from both project developers and farmers.
