Join Minette as she shows us how to create boerewors, a spiced coarsely ground beef and pork sausage that is favoured all through Southern Africa. You'll get a chance to grill your own sausage and serve it with cooked porridge (pap) and a saucy tomato and onion relish (chakalaka).
Minette Tonoli is an Afrikaans South African who immigrated with her husband and two daughters to NZ in 2013.
She is a horticulturist and community herbalist who enjoys growing and using herbs in all parts of her life and especially loves inspiring others to soulfully garden for their own food and medicine. Minette enjoys exploring world cuisine and savours food from all over the globe, but will always have a special place for the traditional meals from her childhood.
