Guest Speaker:
Maggie MacKellar will take the audience on a poetic exploration of life on a Merino wool farm on the east coast of Tasmania. With eloquence, she will delve into the intricate tapestry of nature, motherhood, and family, offering an intimate portrayal of the lambing seasons.

Maggie's narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the Tasmanian landscape, where she vividly depicts the land, the gentle presence of lambs, the nurturing ewes, the melody of birds, the loyal dogs, and the majestic horses. Through her words, she weaves a poignant tale that encompasses the beauty and challenges of life and death on the farm.

A prolific author, Maggie MacKellar has contributed significantly to the literary world. With two books exploring the history of settlement in Australia and Canada, and two memoirs that offer personal insights, she brings a wealth of experience to her connection to the land.
