2023 Maribyrnong Girls Can - Come and Try Roller Derby

This Girl Can – Victoria celebrates and supports Victorian women (yep, you!) to embrace physical activity in a way that suits you. Whether it’s a little or a lot, what matters is getting some movement into your day.
Maribyrnong Girls Can is providing free and fun physical activity and wellbeing programs around the City of Maribyrnong.
Program Description:
Come and join Westside Roller Derby for a fun morning learning to skate and introducing the fundamentals of roller derby! Fun and fitness on wheels.
No experience necessary, all genders welcome, ages 16+, no cost, skates and safety gear available to borrow.
Please note, to register for the Come and Try Roller Derby you will need to complete a second form from the club which will be linked in the confirmation email.

Suitable for: Women aged 18+. Open to people 16+ but parental permission is required for under 18. This is a mixed league so all genders are welcome.
Maribyrnong Girls Can is an inclusive program and welcomes all who identify as women, from all cultural backgrounds and abilities.
What to bring: No equipment needed. If you have your own skates/gear you are welcome to bring them otherwise everything will be available there. Please wear comfortable clothes.
Where to meet: Go to Reception inside RecWest Footscray
Cancellation policy - Inclement weather
• In the case of inclement weather and a program needing to be cancelled, you will be notified via email with at least 2 hours warning prior to the commencement of your program.
• If you do not receive a cancellation email, it means the program is still being delivered.

Please notify the facilitator at the start of the session if you have any injuries or restrictions to movement so that these can be accommodated.
