The Norman Clarke Concert is the St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace Gala Music Concert which features six of the College’s Premier Ensembles and the youngest musicians in the Year 5 Concert Band and Year 5 Strings. Over the course of the students schooling, every practise session has been dedicated to enhancing skill and has lead towards the elite highs of the Premier Ensembles. Today’s concert will see performances by 1st Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Terrace Choir, Terrace Jazz Orchestra, Waterford String Orchestra, Year 5 Concert Band and Year 5 Strings.

Mr Norman Clarke is an Old Boy of the College (GT54) who has kindly donated all of the instruments used by the students in Years 5 and 6. Mr Clarke believes that music helps the students to achieve greater educational outcomes – as well as giving them lifelong enjoyment. It is through Mr Clarke’s generosity that Years 5 and 6 students have been given the opportunity to explore music as a passion at Terrace and beyond.
