2023 Preparatory School Performance - 'The Bravest Show'

Throughout Semester 1, the Preparatory School boys have been studying various performance techniques including creating character, working as an ensemble, taking direction, dance and movement choreography and exploring vocal techniques from modern musicals.  The Year 5 and 6 cohorts will present The Bravest Show – a musical medley that combines performing artforms including music, dance and drama. It is a performance with different moving parts that together focus on the single message in each performance - to stand tall and speak your truth clearly. 

The Year 5 and 6 cohorts have joined forces and celebrated through weekly sessions in singing, choreography and acting, their generation’s most loved musicals. The edgy rock sounds from The Greatest Showman and School of Rock, songs of defiance from Matilda and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and a celebration of self-belief in Shrek and Footloose. 

Together, the boys have created moments that are bold and brave and distinguish what it means to speak out. We hope you will take this opportunity to join us to celebrate the talents of our students. We look forward to welcoming you to the Preparatory School Performing Arts week.
