The Queensland Tennis Awards are back for another year to celebrate the incredible achievements of the Queensland Tennis Community in 2023.

WHEN: From 6pm, roaming canapés, followed by a sit-down dinner and awards ceremony

WHERE: The Marquee Victoria Park, 309 Herston Road, Herston QLD 4006

This year’s event sees the introduction of a new award, the Anthony Richardson Junior Regional Female Athlete of the Year (closed nomination), in honour of National Academy Coach Anthony Richardson who recently lost his battle with Melanoma at the beginning of the year. Anthony was universally adored and shaped the careers of many well know athletes in Australian Tennis.

Winners of applicable awards will also be nominated for the 2023 Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis Awards.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  1. Seating Allocation - You will be able to select your seat while registering your attendance. To choose your seat, select the ‘find friends’ tool. From here you will be able to look through the names of others who have registered for the event and where they have selected to sit. If you have any difficulty making a selection, please email TQAwardsNight@tennis.com.au.
  2. Special Requirements - Please advise of any special requirements upon registering your attendance.
  3. Limited spaces available - we recommend getting your ticket early to avoid disappointment.
  4. Photography and Videography Consent - By attending this event you consent to being captured in photos and videos which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes by Tennis Queensland.
  5. Health and Safety - For the health and safety of all event attendees, we politely ask that you refrain from attending the event if you feel unwell.
  6. Car Parking – Parking is available and free for event attendees.
  7. Arriving by Car or Taxi - From Brisbane CBD or Eastern Suburbs – Head via the M3 to Gilchrist Ave in Herston, take the Herston Rd exit from M3. From Northern Suburbs – Head via Enoggera Rd or Lutwyche Rd. Victoria Park is less than a 10-minute drive from the CBD by car and offers complimentary parking for all guests.
  8. Public Transport (Buses) - Herston Busway Station is located only a short walk from Victoria Park with buses 66, 330, 333 and 340 stopping regularly, collecting passengers from north to south and passing through the Brisbane CBD. For more information visit translink.com.au.
  9. Public Transport (Trains) - The closest railway station is approximately 25 minutes’ walk. To visit Victoria Park by train, we suggest disembarking at Bowen Hills, Roma St or Fortitude Valley railway stations then take a taxi or bus to Herston Rd.   10. Are children allowed at events held at Victoria Park? Yes, children under 18 are most welcome at events however parental/guardian supervision is always required, being a licensed venue.
