The 2023 WA Classical Guitar (Ensemble & Solo) Festival
Presented by
- The Classical Guitar Society of Western Australia, Inc. (www.guitarwa.com.au); and
- Instrumental Music School Services, WA Department of Education (www.education.wa.edu.au/en/instrumental-music)
This festival is an annual event in Western Australia that is potentially the largest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. With a long history of presenting ensemble performance, it has also included soloists since 2020. The festival provides a unique opportunity for guitarists to perform in a formal yet supportive environment, fostering camaraderie, pedagogical exchange, and cultural enrichment.Â
Every ensemble and soloist will receive: (1) a written report; and (2) a commemorative certificate. Ensembles also receive a digital copy of a professionally produced audio recording of their performance.
Guitar Ensembles
• Fee of $90 per ensemble;
• Five categories: primary, junior secondary, senior secondary, community, and tertiary;
• Two adjudicators (names TBC);
Guitar Soloists
• Register online (here at Humanitix) with a fee of $15 per player; to be completed by responsible adult;Â
• Adjudicator TBC.
Payments: Registrations on the IMMS site close Tuesday 06 June 2022, but payments on this website will remain open until Friday 16 June.Â
Late Payments: late payments (from Monday 19 June till Friday 30 June) will be accepted with a 20% additional late fee.  Ensembles not paid by this date will have their registration cancelled.Â
Please note that the purpose of this humanitix page is to collect registration payments for performers only. Tickets for attendance at the festival will be available at the door via credit/debit card (no cash).
