    Event description

    Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day

    Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to join us for a special celebration, followed by classroom visits, and morning tea.

    Date: Friday 8 September
    Time: 9:30am to 11:15am
    Venue: Gymnasium

    • 9:15am: Guest arrival at the School Gymnasium located on the Western Campus, corner of Smith Street and Church Terrace
    • 9:30am to 10:00am: Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day musical performance (ELC to Year 6)
    • 10:10am to 10:40am: Classroom visits (ELC to Year 6)   
    • 10:45am to 11:15am: Morning Tea (tea, coffee and scones) with our R-6 children
      To be served near Dove Hall on the Western Campus and the paved area behind the Tarrkarri Building on the Eastern Campus
    • 11:15am: Conclusion of Grandparents’ and Special Friends' Day

    Street parking will be available on Smith Street and Church Terrace.

    For catering purposes, please register your child’s Grandparents or Special Friends by Friday 1 September by clicking on the red 'Register' button.

    Please note that photographs may be taken at this event and used for the School's promotional and marketing purposes. By registering for this event, you provide your permission for us to photograph you and use photographs of you. If you do not wish for this to occur, please contact the organiser.

    Parents and School community members are also reminded, in accordance with our Photography, Videography and Audio Policy:

    • That parents/caregivers may only photography, video or record audio of their own child at School or School events unless given permission by another child's parent.
    • That the publication or sharing of photographs, video or audio taken of children from other families on the internet without permission is a breach of privacy
    • That if parents have given permission for their child to be photographed, videoed or recorded by anyone other than a staff member of the School does not accept responsibility for the distribution or use of any photograph, video or audio taken or recorded by the individual
    • That parents can at any time update their consent through the Parent Lounge, or in writing to the School.
