IFPA QLD State Championship
Top 24 finalists.  10am start.
Current standings:  http://ifpapinball.com/series/...

All State Championships will be contested under a best-of-seven (7), head-to-head, single elimination format.  All finalists for their State Championships will be seeded according to their best 20 WPPR results from that state.

In all cases for all head-to-head matches, the highest available seed will play the lowest available seed, second-highest plays second-lowest and so on.  Highest seeded player of the match will get first machine choice from the machines available and the other player will choose play order for that game.  The loser of the previous game will get choice of machine for the next game and so on, until someone has won 4 games in their match.

 24 finalists will have the following payout structure:

    * 1st place – 22% of the prize pool
    * 2nd place – 15% of the prize pool
    * 3rd place – 11% of the prize pool
    * 4th place – 8% of the prize pool
    * 5th through 8th place – 5% of the prize pool each
    * 9th through 16th place – 2% of the prize pool each
    * 17th through 24th place – 1% of the prize pool each

AMD QLD Invitational Tournament details:
Qualifying Stage:

All players will play 8 x 2-game rounds of Group Matchplay, using IFPA point scoring.  4-5 rounds will be played Saturday night, with the remaining rounds played Sunday morning.
The Top 24 players will advance to the finals on Sunday afternoon.
Ties for any meaningful positions, such as a bye or to advance to finals will be broken by a single-game playoff on a machine to be chosen at random, while all other seeding positions will be broken automatically.

Finals Stage:

The Top 8 players will receive a first-round bye.
Seeds 9-24 will be grouped into 4 groups of 4, playing 3 games per round, using Slaughter pairings. The top 2 players in each group will advance to the next round. Ties for 2nd place in any group will be broken by a single-game playoff drawn at random.
This process will continue until the final round of 4 players.
The winner will be the player with the most points in the final round. IFPA point scoring will be used for all rounds.
