Event description

Location: Moreton Bay Research Station (MBRS), North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), Queensland

The conference will start from 3pm Friday 4th October and finish around 6pm on Sunday with extra island-based eco-social cultural activities planned for Monday.  

The ANZSEE dinner will be held on Saturday 5th October with music around a bonfire.

ANZSEE AGM will be held on Sunday at the lunch break.  ANZSEE members and observers welcome.

The Conference will focus on key research areas linked to Ecological Economics analysis, perspectives, and policies, including:

  1. Sustainable and healthy national, regional and urban communities and ecosystems 
  2. Marine and coastal environments and people
  3. Building adaptive capacity and resilience in uncertain times via ecological economic-informed solutions  
  4. Ecological limits and planetary boundaries 
  5. Ecological ethics and worldviews and intrinsic value/s of nature 
  6. First Nations and Indigenous communities/economies
  7. Embedding ecological economics in education systems
  8. Other topics consistent with the integrated multiple disciplinary perspectives of ecological economics.
