About the Occasion
In January 2024, the University of Newcastle appointed The Hon. Patricia Forsythe AM. as Chancellor. The Chancellor provides leadership and guidance to the University of Newcastle Council and is responsible for ensuring that the Council fulfils its obligations.
The Investiture is a traditional academic ceremony in the first year of the Chancellor’s tenure in which they are formally ‘vested’ with the symbols and ornaments of their particular office.
The ceremony will be followed by a reception where guests will have the opportunity to connect and celebrate.
