2024 daVinci Regional Decathlon at CGS
Event description
The decathlon competition was created by Knox Grammar School in 2005. The popularity of the event has grown and the da Vinci Decathlon is now run annually in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia. After participating for several years, Canberra Grammar School became a chapter school in 2008 for schools in Canberra and the region. Following the success of Year 7 and 8 competitions, Canberra Grammar School expanded this event to include Years 5 and 6 in 2012 and in 2021 a Year 9 and Year 10 Competition was added.

Year 9 and 10- 2 May 2024
Unlike an Olympic decathlon, this is very much a team challenge and not an individual pursuit. Schools should aim to select students who are able to complement each other in the various disciplines. You are invited to send teams from Year 5 and 6; teams from Year 7 and 8; or teams from Year 9 and 10 (one team per year group).

Registrations will close at 10 April 2024. Please note that if the entries have reached capacity a wait-list will be generated and your school will be notified. Due to the popularity of the competition, we recommend your School register as soon as possible.
