The Australia Cup is a national knockout tournament run by Football Australia in conjunction with every State and Territory Member Federation in the country.

The competition commences with the Preliminary Rounds before moving into the Final Rounds (from the Round of 32 onwards), the stage when the 10 A-League clubs join the fray.

Each cup tie must be decided on the day, with extra time and penalties to decide the results of matches drawn after 90 minutes.

In 2024, Lions FC progressed through the preliminary rounds to the Round of 32, where they drew Perth side Perth Redstars. After coming away with a win in Perth, our next opponent was drawn. A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers will be travelling to Luxury Paints Stadium and will be looking at stalling our run as we look to make the Quarter Finals for the first time.

Get down to Luxury Paints Stadium and bring your voice and plenty of orange as we look to show the Wanderers that we mean business. It should be a great night out of some high-quality football.
