Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 GIWA Breakfast which is held in conjunction with the GRDC Grains Research Update, Perth and is proudly sponsored by AEGIC.
Strengthening equality, diversity and inclusion within the grains industry and in particular encouraging women into the fields of science and R&D not only enables organisations to reach their full potential but will help deliver the innovation the world needs to meet the most significant challenges we face today.
In recognition and celebration of the United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February)Â GIWA and AEGICÂ are celebrating women in science and R&D in Australian agriculture and the grain industry at the event.
Join us for this thought leadership breakfast session with the best of the best.
Guests will enjoy a video presentation from Jessica Wade, a physicist and Research Fellow at the Blackett Laboratory of Imperial College in London. Jessica is a multiple award-winner including a British Empire Medal for services to gender diversity in science and has been creating Wikipedia profiles for overlooked women scientists since 2017.Â
Following the presentation AEGIC’s Executive General Manager Courtney Draper will host a panel of highly respected industry leaders to discuss the topic of equality, diversity and inclusion within the grains industry.

General admission is $80 per person. We also offer GIWA Members at $65 per person and for Students $50 per person. Â
Booking fees will be excluded from the ticket pricing above. Note also an additional surcharge for American Express credit card payments will be added.
Held alongside the 2024 GRDC Grains Research Update, Perth the breakfast takes place at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre in Riverview Room 4 with registration from 7am and the breakfast commencing at 7:15am sharp. Â
