2024 New Zealand Pipe Band Championships

The RNZPBA is excited to bring the 2024 New Zealand Pipe Band Championships to Auckland's North Shore on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March 2024.

This celebration of Scottish culture and music will include:

• Pipe bands from throughout New Zealand and Australia
• Over 100 competition music performances
• Street March competition (Saturday morning in Takapuna - free event starting from Byron Ave, into Lake Road, into The Strand)
• Mace Flourishing championship (Saturday afternoon)
• Scottish Clans
• Kids Zone
• Food and beverage stalls (including a licensed alcohol area)
• Arts, crafts and merchandising stalls
• The magnificent massed pipes and drums with over 1000 performers!
• Presentation of Trophies

Friday 15th March

8:00am to 5:00pm - Band Contest at Onewa Domain

Saturday 16th March
9:00am to 11:00am - Street March at Takapuna (free)
11:30am to 6:30pm - Band Contest at Onewa Domain

As per Auckland Council rules, Onewa Domain is a smokefree area.
