    The NSW Sheriff’s Office is celebrating 200 years of service to the NSW Justice system. 

    We invite you and your colleagues to join us for a once in a lifetime occasion, celebrating the oldest law enforcement agency in Australia at the historic Sydney Town Hall, to be held in the presence of Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and the Honourable Andrew Bell, Chief Justice of New South Wales.

    In 2024, the NSW Sheriff’s Office will be celebrating 200 years of service to the state of New South Wales. To celebrate this milestone, a Bicentennial Gala Dinner will be held to allow staff members, the Judiciary, and stakeholders to come together and celebrate. 

    What does your ticket include? 

    • Join us for premium canapes, a 3-course meal and drinks package, catered by Doltone House 
    • An exclusive insight into the NSW Sheriff’s Office’s rich history through photos, artifacts, and stories with our ‘Road to the Future’ exhibition
    • Special guest MC 
    • Live musical entertainment by the NSW Police Band 

    Special guest MC: Author, investigative journalist, and a staple on Australian television and radio for more than 30 years, Hugh Riminton.

    Hugh Riminton is the national affairs editor with Network TEN. He has won numerous awards including a Logie, two Walkleys and international honours from the Asia TV Awards, the Australian Human Rights Commission, the UN Media Peace Prize and the prestigious American Dupont Columbia Award. Hugh's memoir, MINEFIELDS, A Life in the News Game was a bestseller in 2017.

    Timings:

    6:00pm: Doors to Town Hall open

    6:30pm - 7:00pm: Arrival canapes and exhibition

    7:00pm - 11:00pm: Formalities and celebration


    Ticket Prices:

    Secure your seat to this special event. Tickets are limited, so get in quick!

    • Individual Ticket - $200 per person
    • Table of 8 guests - $1,600 total

    Booking your tickets:

    Individual tickets: Please advise guest names and any special dietary requirements. Should you not have the names of your guests, we ask you to enter TBC in the name field and email events@dcj.nsw.gov.au by 17 May 2024.

    Table bookings: You will only be required to enter the buyers details. The DCJ Events Team will reach out to you via email to request names & dietary requirements of your guests. We ask that you to have this information available by 17 May 2024.

    Seating Requests: If you would like to be requested to be seated next to another guest, please add this request in the specified field through the booking process and we will assist where possible.
