2024 Paint it Orange Plein Air Paint-out Youth Competition

The Orange County Arts Commission presents the 8th Annual Paint It Orange Plein Air Paint-Out and Wet Paint Sale September 27 -October 4 2024. Last year’s Paint it Orange hosted 75 painters from four states, and featured over 150 works of original fine art during the Wet Paint Sale! The event celebrates artists of all types and all abilities and combines gorgeous scenery with the opportunity to meet other painters from around the region. Read about last year’s winners here.

Again this year, we have a youth competition open to middle and high school students who are residents of Orange County or attend a school in Orange County. Artwork will be displayed in the Eno Arts Mill Hall Gallery and judged by Paint it Orange Juror Lynn Mehta. Cash prizes will be awarded for students and the 1st Place school art departments! Registration is free but required. Registration deadline is Monday, September 16, 2024.

On Friday, October 4 at the Eno Arts Mill Gallery in Hillsborough, an awards ceremony and preview party for artists and sponsors will take place at 5pm.The Wet Paint Sale Party starts at 6pm, in which the submitted paintings will be available for sale to the general public.
