Come and join Society members and their friends for our Quiz night as we have fun testing and celebrating our knowledge of the ever evolving streets of Port Adelaide. Share your passion for our local heritage with your table companions as we vie for the title of Gurus of the Port 2024.

The Port Adelaide Historical Society has been working to preserve and protect the history of Port Adelaide and environs area since 1972. Our collections consist of framed pictures, photographs, maps, books, artefacts, printed ephemera and maritime memorabilia dating back to the 19th century. The collections are housed at our Semaphore rooms, our Museum at Peterhead and recorded in stone in the Portonian Walk. The Portonian magazine, has been published quarterly and has become a valuable source of Port Adelaide history for historians and researchers. Our Semaphore collection, above the Semaphore library is available to the public every Friday 1:30-3:30pm Our Museum located at 95 Fletcher Road Peterhead, is open each Sunday from 2:00 pm until 4:00pm
