2024 Sunflower Charity Ride

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
WE ARE NOW RUNNING TWO RIDES. ONE ON SATURDAY 20 APRIL AND THE OTHER ON SUNDAY 21 APRIL.
In 2023 we held what we believe was the first and only Sunflower Charity Ride in Australia. Riders got to ride through the sunflowers before heading off on a local gravel ride followed by attending the Sunflower Festival.
We raised $2000 to support the family of the local Police Officer who's young boy had recently been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. In 2024 we will be doing it all again...riding through the sunflowers, heading out on some local gravel roads, joining in all the fun of the festival and raising money for a charity....a great day out!!
In 2023 Kalbar Sunflowers lost the "Sunflower Man" Russell and his wife Jenny and the organising committee have decided that in 2024 the Festival will aim to raise $100,000 for the Mater Foundation and the Mater Springfield Cancer Care Centre. We are very happy to support this very worthwhile charity through our involvement in the day.
The day will start at 7am with the ride through the sunflowers and we hope that you will join us for this unique experience and enjoy a wonderful day at Kalbar.
Full details including the meeting point, gravel ride (distances etc) will be advised once a final recon has been completed. Rest assured the ride will cater for all levels of fitness and experience as we want to have as many riders as possible join us.
The entry fee for this event is $45 (plus booking fee). This includes the organised ride, entry to the festival on the Sunday and a $20 donation to the Mater Foundation. Should you wish to make a further donation you can do that via this booking platform.
In 2024 we will be producing a limited edition CARTEL T shirt celebrating the amazing sunflowers. The T shirts will be $25 each. Shirts are unisex style. Sizing info...Half chest measurement in cm S - 51, M - 53.5, L - 56, XL - 58.5, XXL - 61 and XXXL 63.5. Shirts must be ordered by 24 March and will be available at registration on the day of the festival.
