The CEO and Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Jagan Chapagain, will be in Sydney to accept the award at the Sydney Peace Prize Lecture and Award Ceremony at the Sydney Town Hall.

Hear from Jagan Chapagain, a recently returned humanitarian worker from the occupied Palestinian territories, and a panel of experts on the role of the Movement, a network of over 16 million staff and volunteers, in saving lives and preventing the suffering of people affected by armed conflict and crises. In a year marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, and amid unprecedented challenges to international humanitarian law, the work of the global Movement is needed more than ever.

The Sydney Peace Prize Lecture and Award Ceremony, hosted by author and journalist Benjamin Law, is proudly supported by the City of Sydney.
