The Tropical Innovation Festival is a week-long innovation festival with a difference, and while it may sound cliche to say that there is something for everyone – our “choose your own adventure” style program has contributed to last year’s attendees rating the event 4.73 / 5 ⭐ with 100% of survey respondents saying they were glad they came. 🙌
The festival takes place at the Novotel Oasis Resort in Cairns, Queensland and includes the world-exclusive experience of a dedicated innovation event aboard a dive boat on the Great Barrier Reef.
In June, it will be warm in Cairns with lower humidity – meaning #TIF2024 is the perfect time to visit our region if you’re an entrepreneur, innovator, investor or looking to infuse innovation into your business or organisation.
#TIF2024 Themes: Resilience. Relationships. Relativism.
This year's festival theme is Resilience, Relationships, and Relativism. A framework for rich, thought-provoking conversations and collaborations both on and off the stage.
Sharing the magical power of resilience
Cairns and Far North Queenslanders faced a tough cyclone season, dealing with significant challenges. As we re-build, resilience, collaboration and innovation are key. #TIF2024 brings session celebrating hard work, inspiring perseverance and environmental protecting injecting some magic into our community and ecosystem.
Valuing relativism for practical solutions
Genuine authenticity and unreserved candour shine through discussions led by a mix of seasoned speakers and fresh voices in a super relaxed environment. This element of #TIF2024 emphasises context-dependent solutions, valuing diverse perspectives for unique, adaptable problem-solving and opportunity identification strategies.
In crafting the festival, we recognise diverse attendee goals. Our on-stage sessions are shorter than traditional conferences, allowing speakers to feature multiple times.
