    Event description

Join us for a night to celebrate our 40th anniversary.

Share a dinner with hundreds of Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA members and activists, with international speakers and artists that will bring forward stories of Australian union international solidarity.

Joining us will be keynote speakers:

    • Felix Anthony – Felix is the National Secretary of the Fiji Trade Union Congress (FTUC) since 1999 and has a long-standing track record of advocating for the rights of unions and workers across the Asia-Pacific.
    • Tanya Toailoa – Tanya is the Secretary of the Samoa Workers Congress (SWC) and a member of the Samoa First Union (SFU). In 2014, she was one of the founding members of SWC during her time on the executive of the Samoa National Provident Fund Staff Association.

Also, Lewis Hobba will be joining us as the MC. Known for his sharp wit, Lewis is a comedian, writer, and presenter, and was a former host of Triple J’s Drive show, one half of the popular podcast Hobba and Hing.

As always, there is a comprehensive prize list including memorabilia from the last 40 years of Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA activism, as well as exciting opportunities to experience art and culture all around Sydney.

Tickets include dinner, with drinks available at bar prices. We will have fantastic prizes up for grabs in our auctions and raffle, featuring unique international and union items you can't get anywhere else.

Join us to commemorate this special occasion. Together, let’s celebrate 40 years of global solidarity!
