Why should I come?

The UWA Casual Careers Fair is an excellent opportunity to meet employers and secure casual and part-time career opportunities.

How can I prepare for the fair?

All participants are encouraged to network and take advantage of the 3-hour session to learn more about the casual opportunities and the application process. To prepare for the event, below is a list of tips to help any applicant stand out:

Bring your resume. Physical copies are useful for employers hiring on-the-spot.
Take advantage of the career resources on CareerLab to polish up on your resume and interview skills
Prepare questions you would like to ask employers regarding pay and working arrangements. For more information about your rights, you may refer to the Fair Work website.
This is a recruitment event and an opportunity for you to network with industry contacts--present yourself well by dressing appropriately.
UWA students needing help with their resume can visit the Careers Drop-in desk at Student Central to chat with a Careers Adviser. The drop-in desk is located at Counter 3, Student Central and is open Mon-Fri from 9:30am – 12:30pm.

What's the application close date? - check flyers and the company website before asking
