💪 Join us for a work day!

-Are you over 18 and want to lend a hand?

-We will be planning the jobs based on a certain number of helpers so please only submit this form if you are 110% sure that you can make it. We are limiting the volunteer max capacity to 50 for the day.

☀️🐐 What the day will include

-Our workdays will be focused on the outside pastures, cleaning up old straw, hay, and lots of poop patrol!

-We may also have a special project to work on as well, depending on number of volunteers and our needs.

-The work will be entirely outside and it will be physical and moderately demanding. To ensure that everyone stays safe, we will be staying together, and working together, as a group. This means that we will not be able to allow anyone to work independently on other tasks during the workday.

-You will be able to visit with interested outdoor residents after the workday has ended. Please note that food or snacks are NEVER to be brought into the pastures for your safety, all approved snacks must be fed from the outside of fencing.

    - We will provide food and drinks! Vegan lunch, water and gatorade for everyone is how we roll.

    🥾 What to Bring

-Bring clothes & shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty--we’ll supply the pitch forks and tools.

-The work is mainly outdoors, so check the weather forecast for Union Grove, WI, and wear rugged shoes or boots.

-This work date is NOT rain or shine. If rain starts, unfortunately we will be forced to cancel/reschedule the work day.

-Dress for the weather and consider including rubber boots, a hat, gloves, sunglasses (eye protection), sunscreen, and insect repellent to your “work day kit”. We recommend bringing a change of clothes for your ride home.

    -No open toed shoes please!

-No pets please! We're all animal lovers here, but this is for the safety of everyone involved.

    🥬🍎 Food for the Animals

-Our residents always appreciate food and snacks! Feel free to bring any of the below items. For your safety, never bring food or snacks inside any pasture, and NEVER directly feed pigs from your hands. All snacks must be given from the outside of pasture fencing.

Produce: Greens, apples, tomatoes, sweet potatoes (no regular potatoes), grapes, carrots, watermelon and other melons, celery, cucumbers and sweet peppers.

Snacks: Cereal like cherrios and fruit loops and peanut butter. (Please note that honey is not vegan and skip the honey nut cherrios, thank you!)

    🍌 Food for You

-If you wish to bring snacks or a picnic, please do so, we just remind you that in respect for all of our residents, all food on the farm is vegan! (vegan - zero animal products and byproducts - no dairy, meat, eggs, honey, etc.)

-We always have cold water at Gatorade for our volunteers on hand!

    😷 COVID safety protocols

*COVID protocols may change based on current state mandates.

Mask wearing is optional if you are fully vaccinated and work is outdoors! Thank you!

🐷 For Visitors who have had contact with other Farmed Animals

-For visitors who live or work on a farm, or who have recently had contact with other farmed animals, we do ask that you please inform us.

-It is important for you to wear different clothing and different footwear than you wore when you had contact with other farmed animals since diseases, especially in the soil (often found on clothing and footwear) can affect people and animals.

Please note that Tiny Hooves Sanctuary is a non-smoking and alcohol-free zone.
