    Vic Park Young Creators Program

    Hey young creators!

    The Town of Victoria Park is excited to announce the 2024 Vic Park Young Creator Program, specially crafted for emerging artists aged 16-24.

    This program is your chance to dive deep into the world of visual arts and build the skills you need to kickstart a creative career. 

    What You’ll Get:

    Two Creative Incubator Labs that cover the following:

    • Printmaking Techniques: Learn the basics and get hands-on with printmaking.
    • Entrepreneurial Skills: Discover how to manage a creative business and find diverse income streams.
    • Expert Advice: Gain valuable insights from experienced visual art professionals on how to earn a living through art.
    • Networking: Connect with other emerging artists and established professionals.

    Showcase Opportunity - an exhibition of your work created in the labs:

    • Real-World Experience: Apply what you’ve learned from the incubator labs.
    • Community Exposure: Show off your talent to the local community.
    • Monetise Your Art: Learn the ropes of selling and promoting your work.

    Important Dates:

    • Incubator Lab 1: Saturday, 22 June, 1pm – 5pm
    • Incubator Lab 2: Sunday, 30 June, 9:30am – 1:30pm
    • Showcase: Between 26 July - 13 August (exact dates TBC)

    Victoria Park Centre for the Arts, 12 Kent Street, East Victoria Park, WA

    Cost:

    FREE!

    Who Can Join?

    If you’re aged 16-24 and living or studying in the Town of Victoria Park, we’d love to have you! Priority is given to local young people, but everyone in the age range is welcome to apply.

    Commitment: To be selected, you need to attend both incubator labs and the showcase.

    How to Register:

    Interested? Well you are in the right place.  Hurry, registrations close on Sunday, 9 June! We will be in contact with you to confirm your involvement by Wednesday 12 June.
