Travel instructions

METRO Barangaroo Metro Station is located beneath the northern end of Hickson Road, south of Munn Street in Millers Point. Access and entry are via Central Barangaroo. Driverless trains arriving every four minutes and is a close walk to Barangaroo Wharves. TRAIN Wynyard Station is only a short walk away. The Wynyard Walk tunnel provides a fully accessible, covered pedestrian link between Wynyard Station and Barangaroo south, and avoids steep inclines and road crossings. BUS Bus services will now take you directly to Barangaroo. Routes 311, 324 and 325 travel to Hickson Road from Town Hall, and a number of off peak services are now arriving at neighbouring King Street Wharf including Routes 252, 254, 261, 288, 290 and 292. TAXI Taxis can enter the precinct and drop off along Barangaroo Avenue. The nearest taxi rank is in Shelley Street. *Please note the Ferrython vessels will not be returning guests to Barangaroo all guests will disembark at Circular Quay, please take this into consideration when planning your travel for Australia Day*

Entry instructions

Event staff will announce the commencement of boarding for guests once their allocated ferry has arrived and ready for guests. Guests will need to have their tickets scanned by our event team in order to gain access to wharf and ferries. Please make yourself known to Australia Day event staff for priority boarding or other assistance thank you.

Hazards

All Sydney Ferries vessels are accessible to people using essential mobility aids - all ferries have toilet facilities including at least one wheelchair accessible toilet onboard. Wheelchair accessible wharves have level or ramped access that allows independent access by a person using a manual wheelchair or walking aid. They are also accessible via electric wheelchairs or scooters or if you are travelling with the help of a friend or carer. Petrol-run scooters are not permitted on wharves or ferries at any time. Assisted access may be required. Gangway and Ramp gradients are tide dependent.

Toilet location

Accessible public toilets are located on the eastern side of Barangaroo Avenue between Exchange Place and Mercantile Walk. Additional accessible toilets are available between the restaurants along Wulugul Walk.

Accessible parking

The nearest parking station with accessible parking is Secure Parking King Street Wharf at 1 Shelley Street. Telephone 8912 4900. Eight accessible parking spaces are provided at Care Park beneath Barangaroo Reserve. This carpark is approximately 800 metres from the entry to Barangaroo’s southern precinct. From the car park travel south along Hickson Rd towards Barangaroo. A lift is located on the corner of Hickson Road and Napoleon Street.
