Garment First Aid - Margy Alexander
Prolong and fortify your favourite textiles using invisible or boldly visible mending.

- On the day bookings + drop-by bookings welcome
Using needle and thread we will learn to repair and extend the life of our favourite textiles and garments. Bring along your pieces to get started on the journey of mending and repair.
WHAT TO BRING:
Closed-toe shoes
A textile item that needs mending
WHAT’S PROVIDED:
Sharp quality sewing needles
felting needles and darning blocks
A grazing of a range of threads and patches
SUITABLE FOR:
All Levels. +10 years.
Participants who require assistance due to a Disability are welcome to attend with a support person or carer.
ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Margy Alexander relishes the challenge of textile repair and restoration—fortifying fabric with stitch, adding colour through eco-dyeing, and marking cloth with the beauty of plant materials. Her workshops embrace a ‘can do’ attitude, where individual creativity is encouraged and nurtured. Margy is passionate about sharing her knowledge, advocating for sustainable practices, and guiding participants in developing a strong foundation in essential textile techniques.
