🌟 The BIG Science Fair Award Presentations 2025 🌟
Celebrate the creativity and innovation of young people in STEM at The BIG Science Fair, held at the Burnie Arts Centre on Tuesday, 26 August. This inspiring evening showcases the best student projects from across North West Tasmania, with awards presented in categories spanning Chemistry, Physics & Astronomy, Biomedical & Health Science, Engineering, Energy Science, Plant Science, Sustainability, Material Science, and Technology Enhances the Arts.
📌 Event details:
Time: Doors open 5:30 pm, ceremony starts 6:00 pm, concludes at 7:00 pm
Venue: Burnie Arts Centre
Dress: Students are encouraged to wear full school uniform
No Catering: But light snacks and drinks available for purchase at the kiosk
Selected award-winning projects will be on display, highlighting outstanding innovation, problem-solving, and creativity from Years 5–12 students.
🎟️ Tickets: Free entry. Tickets are set to choose your price — donations are greatly appreciated and help us expand opportunities for young people in STEM.
👥 Who should attend? Students and their families, school representatives, sponsor representatives, and invited STEM/industry guests are all warmly welcome to join in recognising the next generation of STEM leaders.
