Hotspots is running a workshop series in Congewai-Paxton, near Cessnock.

Landholders from the surrounding Congewai-Paxton area are invited to attend a 2 day program to increase knowledge and participate in fire management planning for their property for asset protection, maintaining biodiversity and protecting cultural values.

  • Workshop 1: Saturday 14th June 2025 (8.30am to 4:30pm)
  • Workshop 2: Saturday 21st June 2025 (8.30am to 4:30pm)

By registering for the first workshop you are registering for the second workshop as well. Each workshop covers different topics.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have a list of registered participants

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?

Tickets are free, if a registered member of your family from your property cannot make it any other member may take their place. For commercial properties a farm manager or risk manager may attend.

What should I wear?

Parts of the day will be held outside in the bush so please wear comfortable (covered) walking shoes and dress accordingly.

What should I bring?

Hat, water bottle and sunscreen.

Based on best available science and operational knowledge, the Hotspots Fire Project is a NSW training program which provides landholders and land managers with the skills and knowledge needed to actively and collectively participate in fire management planning and implementation for the protection and enhancement of biodiversity conservation.
