Event description

Curtin's Korea Research and Engagement Centre is hosting its 2025 Curtin Korea Day.

Come join us for a fun afternoon of games, talks, and exclusive prizes!

The theme of this year's Curtin Korea Day is Chuseok - Korea's Autumn Harvest Festival. Come and learn more about the holiday, try Korean snacks and traditional clothes, write your name in Hangeul, create your customized lantern, or try your luck at one of our game booths.

You will also have the chance to learn more about careers in Korean Studies from a panel of experts and former graduates.

Use #curtinkoreaday25 to create a reel or TikTok on the day, and enter the competition for a special, Korea-themed prize.

This event is free and open to all university students in Western Australia who have an interest in Korea. As spots are limited, registration is essential.

The Korea Research & Engagement Centre of Western Australia is WA's premier Korea-focused research and engagement centre located at Curtin University in Perth.

Established with support from the Academy of Korean Studies, the Korea Research & Engagement Centre of WA is a hub for Korean Studies teaching and research in the Perth metropolitan area and Western Australia, aiming to train future scholars in Korean Studies through a strong focus on facilitating postgraduate and postdoctoral research opportunities, as well as research-led teaching. The KRC also welcomes affiliate members from outside Curtin University to collaborate on Korea-focused projects and we frequently host events aimed at bringing together Korea experts, as well as industry and public sector partners across our region.

In addition, the Centre seeks to foster collaboration among researchers engaged in Korea-related research in West Australian higher education institutions, and connect them with key stakeholders in the WA business community, state government and non-profit organisations with Australia-Korea interests.
