2025 Eye and ENT Emergency Seminar (Virtual)
Event description
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is pleased to offer the following two half day education virtual seminar for FACEMs, Emergency Medicine Trainees, GPs, Nurse Practitioners, rural and remote practitioners wishing to fine tune or refresh their skills:
- Thursday 4 September 2025 (Eye day) – 8am – 12.45pm
- Friday 5 September 2025 (ENT day) – 8am – 12.45pm
The seminar will provide lectures by specialists in the ophthalmology and ENT field.
Eye Emergency Day Topics include – Ophthalmic History Taking, Corneal Emergencies, Eye Trauma and Sudden Loss of Vision.
ENT Emergency Day Topics will include – The ENT Examination, Otological Emergencies, Paediatric ENT Emergencies, Epistaxis and Airway Emergencies.
This seminar will offer the opportunity for participants to draw upon the expertise of our colleagues in Ophthalmology and ENT surgery as their specialties relate to your practice of Emergency Medicine.
Some of the seminar recordings, (not all), will be available after the event for participants to access (for a limited time). Further details are available on the Hospital's website.
There will also be a Fellowship practice exam (virtually on Friday 1.15pm-3.15pm). If you are interested, please note on your registration, and we will let you know details once confirmed.
