Event description

An 80,000-word thesis. Their time....3 minutes. PhD students from the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences (HMBS) will compete in the Faculty Final of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition.

Come along to watch dynamic 3-minute presentations on diverse research topics from public health to psychology, child, Indigenous and rural health, to biomedical, pharmaceutical, clinical and rehabilitation sciences, cancer and neuroscience.

All academic and professional staff, students (undergraduate, postgraduate and research), and alumni are welcome to attend. Attendees will have a chance to vote for the People's Choice presentation. The winner will progress to the UQ 3MT® Final hosted by the UQ Graduate School on Wednesday 10 September and a chance to win a $5,000 research grant and a place in the Virtual Asia-Pacific competition.
