2025 Immersia: Legacies in Print and Manuscript: Two Centuries of East Asian Sources
Event description
Are you interested in old maps, books, ephemera and manuscripts that tell stories from East Asian interest?
Sally Burdon of Asia Bookroom invites you to join her for a special viewing of some of the unusual old books, ephemera and maps that are not usually on show at Asia Bookroom. This special viewing is limited to a small group. Please register soon to make sure you don't miss out.
Sally Burdon, the owner of Asia Bookroom, has been a second-generation antiquarian and secondhand bookseller for over 40 years. She is passionate about placing Asia-related ephemera and other lesser appreciated pieces of historical evidence in institutions, believing that without access to the views these sometimes seemingly insignificant pieces offer, history can be rewritten by those whose views differ. She is a past president of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB) and was the recipient of ILAB's Medal of Honour in 2024.
