We are delighted to invite you to our 60th Anniversary Malaysia Alumni Celebration, which will feature an ‘In Conversation’ with two distinguished alumni from Malaysia on advancing sustainability and transforming the nation’s built environment.

For six decades, our university has produced leaders, innovators and changemakers who have shaped industries and communities. We take great pride in the achievements of our Malaysia alumni and look forward to commemorating this milestone together.

Speakers

Ar Jasmeet Pal Singh Sidhu (Ar Jaz Sidhu) | Professor of Practice and Head, School of Architecture and Built Environment, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation

Bachelor of Architecture (1987)

Jasmeet is a distinguished architect with more than 38 years of experience across Malaysia, Australia, China and India.

He is a former Chairman of the Architectural Examinations Council, Board of Architects Malaysia, and is a licensed Professional Architect and Interior Designer registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM). He has been influential in shaping architectural practice through leadership roles in professional bodies including LAM, the Association of Consulting Architects Malaysia, Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia, the Construction Industry Development Board, the Interior Designers Institute of Malaysia and Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia.

Among his notable projects in Malaysia are the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Mid Valley City and Sungai Buloh Hospital. His work reflects both professional excellence and a sustained commitment to advancing the development of the architectural and design sectors.

Emir Raduan | Senior Manager (Sustainability), Malaysia Airports

Master of Architecture (2011)

Emir Izzat Raduan is a sustainability and strategy professional with extensive experience across real estate, hospitality, residential and aviation.

He is Senior Manager of Sustainability at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, where he leads the organisation’s long-term sustainability strategy. His responsibilities include managing low-carbon energy transition, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, biodiversity conservation and social impact initiatives. He plays a key role in embedding ESG principles across the airport group to align with both national and international sustainability standards.

Emir’s previous leadership roles in Destination Resorts & Hotels and Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad saw him drive projects such as solar PV installation, EV infrastructure rollout, CSR programmes and GHG baseline assessments. Earlier in his career, he contributed to affordable housing, transit-oriented development guidelines and national infrastructure projects at PR1MA Corporation and MyHSR Corporation. Certified in ESG reporting and trained as an internal sustainability auditor, he is also a speaker and workshop facilitator who champions sustainable design and governance to create long-term impact.


Moderator

A/Prof Koh Yit Yan, TFIEAust | Director (Special Projects) and Program Coordinator (Mechanical Engineering), Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education

Associate Professor Koh Yit Yan is an academic in engineering with over 17 years of expertise in universities across Singapore and Malaysia. As an Associate Professor, he has demonstrated a unique blend of academic rigour, research strength and a dedicated focus on innovative teaching approaches. His leadership roles, including Interim Academic Director at Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education, Head of Discipline and Programme Coordinator, underscore his proven leadership skills.

A/Prof Koh currently holds the esteemed position of Honorary Secretary for the Engineers Australia Singapore Chapter and the South East Asia Association for Institutional Research. His unwavering commitment to advancing the field of engineering is evident in his impactful teaching and groundbreaking research efforts. His contributions have enriched the academic community and significantly propelled the progress of engineering practices in the region.
