2025 Midsumma Pride March with Eastern Health's Rainbow Community

Eastern Health is excited to participate in the 2025 Midsumma Pride March! 

Eastern Health's Rainbow Community invite LGBTIQA+ community and Allies to march with us at the Midsumma Pride March on Sunday 2nd February 2025! 

All are invited for a wonderful day of celebrating pride and diversity, strengthening solidarity and connections, and continuing to advocate for LGBTIQA+ inclusivity at Eastern Health.

What is the Midsumma Pride March

Misumma Pride March encapsulates the affirmation of the diverse rainbow community with all its fabulousness and proudness. It is also a show of solidarity for those who can't march.

It started in 1996, when Melbourne's LGBTQIA community took to the streets in a show of solidarity for the first Pride March. Since then, the Midsumma Pride March has been held in early February along St Kilda's Fitzroy St and has become one of the signature events of the Midsumma Festival, with over 50,000 people showing their support for the LGBTIQA+ community last year.

As Eastern Health continues to strive towards being more LGBTIQA+ inclusive, the Midsumma Pride March is an opportunity to come together, stand with the LGBTIQA+ community, and strengthen our commitment to ensuring Eastern Health continues to strive to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive service and environment for all. 

Eastern Health’s Rainbow Community (EHRC), an LGBTIQA+ community-led peer support group, and their allies invite you to march with EHRC at the Midsumma Pride March on Sunday 2nd February 2025! 

All are invited for a wonderful day of celebrating pride and diversity, strengthening solidarity and connections, and continuing to advocate for LGBTIQA+ inclusivity at Eastern Health.

Who can march & who is marching in this group?  

• This is an open march - family, friends and furry four-legged companions are all welcomed to march with us!
• Registering means you will march with the Eastern Health contingent at the main Midsumma Pride March event. 

How do I register to be part of this contingent?

• Every individual needs to register for a spot as places are limited.
• Registering will help us distribute Eastern Health merchandise (t-shirts & caps) to the participants for the march. 
• It will help keep you updated as we get closer to the day.
  
• If you are bringing family or friends, please ensure they are registered too!
