2025 National Sorry Day at Swinburne
Event description
The Moondani Toombadool Centre would like to invite you to attend the National Sorry Day Service, taking place in the Indigenous Learning Circle on the Hawthorn Campus on Monday 26 May at 10.20am for an 10.30am start.
National Sorry Day is a day to acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations Survivors and reflect on how we can all play a part in the healing process for our people and nation. While this date carries great significance for the Stolen Generations and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, it is also commemorated by Australians right around the country.
We will start the event with a Traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony delivered by Wurundjeri Elder, Uncle Colin Hunter Jnr.
After the service you will have the opportunity to attend an Indigenous Art workshop by Katie Bugden Art, grab a cuppa and some morning tea.
We look forward to having you join us!
