2025 Oak Leaf Symposium
Event description
Join us for our first annual Oak Leaf Symposium, reimagined, vision-oriented, and more engaging than ever before. This annual event has long served as a meaningful gathering to recognize those making a difference in local land conservation. In 2025, we’re expanding the experience with a focused educational symposium built around a theme inspired by our Oak Leaf Award honoree Brian O'Malley, The Power of Volunteerism for Lasting Conservation Impact.
In addition to our traditional awards ceremony honoring outstanding local conservation heroes, the event will now feature:
A compelling keynote by Beth Steinhorn, President of VQ Volunteer Strategies, exploring how grassroots engagement fuels enduring environmental change
Two dynamic breakout sessions by Shelby Johnson of Jefferson County Open Space and Beth Steinhorn offering insights and strategies from experienced land stewards and strategic volunteer leaders
Thoughtful opportunities for networking, learning, and community-building among peers in conservation over a delicious catered lunch
Discounted tickets for DLC volunteers (access code required)
Whether you're a long-time supporter, a first-time volunteer, or a professional working to protect Colorado’s natural heritage, this is an event designed to inform, inspire, and ignite continued action.
Sponsorships are still available! Contact Amy Graziano at agraziano@douglaslandconservancy.org to inquire. Standard tickets, priced at $65 each plus processing fee, will go on sale September 5 at 8:00am.
