For one of the most special days in our school calendar, we welcome grandparents, older relatives and special friends to join us on Monday 24 March for Grandies’ Day. To support Grandies being able to visit multiple children, the day is organised as two separate events.

Junior Primary (R-2) Schedule: 

9.00am - Morning Tea in the Piper Pavilion.
9.30am - Reception to Year 2 Assembly.
9.45am - Visit classrooms and Book Fair with your grandson.
10.40am - Event conclusion.

Middle/Upper Primary (3-6) Schedule: 

10.45am - Morning Tea in the Piper Pavilion.
11.20am - Year 3 to Year 6 Assembly.
11.35am - Visit classrooms and Book Fair with your grandson.
12.30pm - Event conclusion.

Parking
Parking will be available on the back oval. We will provide a ‘Grandies' Express’ shuttle service to transport guests who need assistance around the College grounds. Please contact the Preparatory School office on 8334 1203 if you have any mobility needs you wish to discuss.  

Morning Tea
Morning Tea will be available in the Piper Pavilion from 9.00am to 9.30am for those attending the Reception to Year 2 session, and from 10.45am to 11.20am for those attending the Year 3 to Year 6 session.

Photographs
Photographers will be on hand to photograph you with your grandson. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please advise the attending photographer. There will also be a photo booth available in the Preparatory Gym for you to keep a memento of the day.

Book Fair
The Book Fair will be open in the Preparatory Gym from 9.45am until 12.30pm. If you wish to, you can purchase a book for your grandson. Eftpos and cash facilities will be available. Books purchased are for the boys to keep and read at home. The library receives a commission on any items sold and will use the funds raised to purchase new books for the Preparatory School Library collection.

Join the Grandies’ Club
The Prince Alfred College Grandies’ Club was formed in 1988 and now has over 150 members comprising grandparents, great aunts or uncles, and special friends of current students. Special events are held throughout the year. Please visit the Grandies’ Club Stall for information or to join.
