Celebrate New Voices at the 2025 Regional Writers Rise Festival!

🏆 2025 Rise Up! Short Story Competition Awards Ceremony

📍 Location: Morwell Innovation Centre : 1 Monash Way, Morwell VIC 3840

Join us as we honour the remarkable talent of regional storytellers at the inaugural Rise Up! Short Story Competition Awards Ceremony. This event is a highlight of the Regional Writers Rise Festival, celebrating the diverse voices of Gippsland and beyond.

Witness the culmination of creativity where participants have explored the theme of 'Compassion' through compelling short stories, each 1000 words or under. We’re excited to recognise outstanding entries, with prizes including $500, a 12-month Writers Victoria membership and publication with Paper Road Magazine.

The ceremony will not only announce the winners but also feature readings of selected stories, showcasing the rich narratives that challenge norms and enrich our literary world. This event is a testament to the power of storytelling in bridging communities and highlighting unique perspectives.

Come and support local authors and discover the next wave of literary talent in our community!
