About this home

This retrofitted two-story townhouse demonstrates how to transform an inner-city home for comfort and energy efficiency. Upgrades include DIY draught-proofing, solar installation, improved insulation, external shading, aircon upgrades, and transitioning to an all-electric system with gas-free hot water and cooking. These changes have cut summer electricity consumption by up to 80% and reduced CO2 emissions by half a tonne annually, creating a more sustainable and comfortable living space.

Renew is a small not for profit organisation that needs to raise money from ticket sales to cover the costs of hosting this event. In some cases the ticket revenue may also be split with the homeowner.
