Life Drawing—Brookvale, Northern Beaches

Looking for a fun, creative escape to energise your Mondays?!

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, the Underground Sketch Club is your new Monday night hangout! It's all about good vibes, great company, and sketching some seriously cool models in a no-pressure, welcoming space.

Set in the heart of the Brookvale Arts District, the life drawing events are hosted by Holly Mahoney underground from her studio digs. It's the perfect spot to get away from the world above for awhile to sip, sketch, and unwind. This isn’t just another drawing class—it’s a laid-back community where you can escape the routine, meet new people, and spark your creativity.

Starting Monday February10th, sessions will be held fortnightly on Monday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, based on a 9-week semester (see dates for term 1 and 2 below).

Here’s what you can expect:

Warm-up poses to get you started, followed by a few 10-15 minute sessions, and then longer, more detailed poses to really hone your skills.
Bring your favourite art supplies, some charcoal and newsprint is available to help get you started.
Enjoy a complimentary beverage on arrival (your choice of non-alc or alc) included to keep you hydrated!

One-off sessions availalbe with tickets for good via Humantix. Support local arts, supoort good!

Includes your choice of beverage—alcoholic or non-alcoholic. You are welcome to bring snacks to the space to keep nourished!

The lowdown:

Cost: $35 per session (includes 2-hour drawing sesh & choice of beverage)
When: Monday held fortnightly, 6:30–8:30 PM (refer to schedule of dates below)
Note: First rule of Sketch Club is...arrive by 6:20pm—doors lock at 6:30 sharp!

Never drawn the human form before? No worries! Holly’s down-to-earth, relatable style means you’ll get helpful tips and guidance subtly along the way. Creatives are welcome to attend for studio time with model, perfect to hone your skills!
