Event description

Get ready for one of the most vibrant and meaningful events on the Canterbury calendar!

Our annual United Nations Celebration brings the College community together to honour the rich cultures that shape who we are—with a spectacular parade of nations, live performances, global cuisine, and more. Join us for a day of pride, unity, and celebration.

📅 When: Friday 20 June 2025 | 10:00am – 2:15pm (Last Day of Term 2)
📍 Where: Canterbury Events Centre (CEC) – Canterbury College. Entry via High Road Gate, Waterford

Parking: Available via High Road, Old Logan Village Road, and Easterly Street Gates.

Cost: Food, drinks, and activity stalls require pre-purchased $10 ticket booklets. Students can purchase ticket booklets from 16 June or on the day.

🔔 Food Stall Requirements

Families contributing food must:

  • Complete a free online food safety course by 9 June

  • Submit an information form for each dish or drink

⚠️ Allergen Notice

Food may contain allergens including (but not limited to): egg, milk, wheat, gluten, nuts, sesame seeds, soy, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, lupin, and peanuts. While we aim to label all dishes, we cannot guarantee any food is allergen-free. Please speak to staff if you have concerns.


🎟 Entry Tickets Are Essential

All attendees excluding current Canterbury students and staff must present a named entry ticket at the gate.

10:55am – 11:15am | Morning Tea Break
Years 5–6 Students | Venue Reset

11:15am – 2:15pm | UN Day Multicultural Festival
Food & Drink Stalls | Student Music & Dance Performances | Cultural Arts & Activities


👔 Dress Code

  • Students: School uniform or cultural attire

  • Parents, carers, staff, alumni & guests: Smart/business casual or cultural attire
