Develop your Emotional Intelligence - ONE DAY COURSE (2 May)
Event description
Building your EQ
Many of our professional and relationship skills are underpinned by our Emotional Intelligence: the ability to manage our own emotions and sensitively respond to those of others.
A high EQ will help us better manage our relationships and can have significant benefits in terms of building rapport with clients and colleagues, negotiation skills, managing a stressful environment, dealing with deadlines, managing change and functioning as a team player.
While some people do have natural strengths in terms of EQ, many of the key competencies can be learned and this course will help participants to identify and develop these skills for use in their professional and personal lives.
Topics include all four EQ capabilities:
- Self Awareness:Â Measuring your current EQ, recognising emotional strengths and weaknesses, mood tracking, emotional vs wise decision making.
- Self-Management:Â Authenticity, adaptability, thought management, impulse control.
- Social Awareness:Â Empathy, cultural awareness, recognising cues, cultural intelligence.
- Social Skills:Â Giving and receiving constructive feedback, conflict management, influence, inclusion and acknowledgement.
This course includes:
- Engaging, up-to-date materials.
- Take-home resource package.
- All-day catering and beverages - with dietary needs catered for.
