Tour 1 - Paddock to Plate - Local Flavours

This tour offers a fantastic mix of agri-tourism, sustainable farming, and local flavours! Travelling up the Southeastern Freeway you enter a kaleidoscope of agricultural production systems generating premium produce from exceptional wines and horticulture to award-winning cheeses. The journey begins exploring the Ceravolo Orchards, packing and fruit juice sheds. From humble beginnings to a fruit dynasty Ceravolo Orchards are a privately family-owned Agri-business based in Ashton, South Australia, who grow, pack and store premium Australian grown fruit including apples, pears, cherries, and strawberries. Next stop, immerse yourself in the world of dairy delights with an award-winning cheese business Udder Delights. Then relax in serenity of the South Australian ‘Garden of the Year’ in 2024 at Bird in Hand’s Woodside Estate, a beautiful winery in the Adelaide Hills.

Tour 2 – Agricultural Innovation - the Future of Ag

This tour is perfect for those curious about the intersection of research, technology, and sustainable food production. This tour explores research, technology, and sustainable food production at Adelaide University Roseworthy Campus, participants will meet farmers and researchers focused on helping agriculture adapt to a changing climate. Discussions will cover R&D projects on livestock adaptation, emissions reduction, and grain industry strategies for managing risk. Kate McCabe will share practical insights on farm-level sustainability reporting. The tour also includes a visit to glasshouse facilities at the Australian Grain Technologies (AGT) plant breeding centre to learn about advances in genetics and plant breeding.

Tour 3 - Central Delights - Exploring SA’s Finest

Discover the rich flavours and traditions of South Australia’s finest primary producers and Ag businesses on this immersive tour through Adelaide, where history, innovation, and exquisite flavours come together. Starting with the legendary RM Williams - immerse yourself in the artistry behind R.M.Williams' iconic products, as you meet the craftspeople whose skilled hands bring them to life. Next stop Monika’s Organics their farming philosophy embraces a holistic approach, connecting soil, plants, animals, food, people, and the environment in one harmonious cycle. Their story is one that strives to produce real food from ‘farm to your plate’.
