This year’s guest lineup features an inspiring mix of voices:
🎙 Philippa Cameron – What’s for Smoko
Philippa Cameron brings her warm, down-to-earth voice from the high-country of New Zealand’s South Island to this year’s Ladies Lunch in Dannevirke. As a station cook, rural mum, writer, and passionate advocate, Philippa shares stories and recipes from life on a remote farm through her popular What’s for Smoko brand, loved by over 45,000 followers. She’ll chat about feeding a hungry crew with tried-and-true recipes, pantry essentials for farm life, and the realities of juggling motherhood and farming. Author of two much-loved cookbooks and a champion for rural women, Philippa celebrates the pride, challenges, and heart that go into farm life — and how her kitchen range and social media success grew from a simple idea.
🎙 Polly Harding (PJ) – Radio Host, Media Personality & Podcaster
Polly ‘PJ’ Harding is a well-known radio host, media personality, and podcaster who brings her own unique style and personality to everything she does. Starting her career at ZM in New Zealand, she teamed up with Jase Hawkins to host a national drive show before moving to Melbourne to co-host a popular KIIS Network breakfast show. Now back in New Zealand, Polly hosts The Hits Drive with Matty & PJ Show every weekday afternoon and farms with her husband BJ and their two young children.
Polly will share her real, honest journey of adjusting to rural life, how she balances it all, and the lessons she’s learned — including insights from her popular wellness podcast Slow It Down, where she explores slowing down, wellbeing, and redefining success in today’s busy world.
🎙 Kate Steadman – Clinical Psychologist & Sheep & Beef Farmer
Kate Steadman is a Clinical Psychologist and sheep & beef farmer based right here in Tararua. Growing up on a dairy and sheep & beef farm in the Tasman district, Kate combines her love of farming with her passion for rural mental health through her private practice, Second Nature Psychology.
Kate works with individuals and couples across the primary sector, bringing a practical, down-to-earth approach to managing the unique pressures and challenges that come with life on the land. She’ll share valuable tools and insights to help navigate life’s ups and downs.
