2026 ACT Literary Awards

The ACT Literary Awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate the achievements of writers from the ACT and surrounding regions. These prestigious honours include the MARION Book Awards, the Finding Beauty Poetry Prize, the Anne Edgeworth Fellowship Award and the Marion Halligan Award.

We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the Anderson Pender Foundation, which has enabled prizes across award categories this year.

Thank you to our sponsors and event partners: ACT Government, Big River Distilling Co., Paperchain Bookstore, Photox, She Shapes History, Verity Lane Market and Waypoint Tea Co. We also acknowledge the enduring support of the Anne Edgeworth Trust and the families of the late Roger Green and Marion Halligan.

Tickets include canapés and a drink. Books by shortlisted authors will be available for purchase on the night thanks to Paperchain Bookstore.

Time: 5:45pm for 6pm

Dress: Smart casual to creative cocktail attire.

MARION strives to ensure this is a safe and accessible event. If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you stay home. Masks are welcome and encouraged.
