Melanoma Institute Australia Research Retreat 2026

Join us for the 2026 MIA Research Retreat — a full-day forum designed to bring our brightest minds in our research and clinical community together to share insights, spark collaboration and explore the future of melanoma research.

This inclusive event welcomes MIA staff and collaborators across clinical, research and operational roles, along with fellows, PhD candidates, industry partners and consumer advocates. It’s an opportunity to step into the broader research landscape, hear what’s happening across the Institute, and be part of the conversations shaping what comes next.

Across the day, you’ll hear more than 40 presentations spanning our four key themes:

• Theme 1: Early Melanoma

• Theme 2: Advanced Melanoma

• Theme 3: Prevention, Risk & Clinical Detection

• Theme 4: Supportive Care & Survivorship.

The program also includes facilitated discussions, consumer perspectives and dedicated time to connect with colleagues and collaborators. A detailed program will be shared in mid-July.

The Research Retreat is where MIA’s research priorities are forged. It is a proven launchpad for cross-disciplinary partnerships and major multi-institutional research initiatives that have redefined our clinical approach. By uniting researchers and consumers, we not only share updates but also build the collaborative framework needed to end melanoma deaths for good.
